You Can’t Make Everyone Happy… You’re Not a Taco

My birthday falls on 2.22, and in 2022 we went all out for 2.22.22 Taco TWOsday — the ultimate nod to twos, tacos, and togetherness (see header picture of me and my momma for visual proof of the taco celebration).

In our home, Taco Tuesday is more than dinner. It’s rhythm, comfort, and community. It’s a table where everyone has a seat and feels safe.

That same heartbeat runs through Philanthropē Reimagined and the Philanthropē Reimagined Community.

Just as tacos are familiar and grounding, the PRC exists to create safe spaces for nonprofit leaders — places where you feel known, seen, encouraged, and equipped.

Too often, leaders carry both brilliance and burden.

Burnout creeps in.

Fatigue feels louder than vision.

That’s why we built the PRC: to be your “whole enchilada” of clarity and encouragement. A space where you can catch your breath, refuel, and step forward with strength.

So if you’re weary today, friend — hear this: you don’t have to carry it alone. Keep going. You are doing good things, and the world is brighter because of you.

And just remember: tacos fall apart sometimes… and everyone still loves them. 🌮❤️

Let's Taco 'Bout PRC

End-of-Year Giving Tip (served up fresh)

Did you know that 30% of all annual giving happens in December — and nearly 10% in the last three days of the year?

That means the prep work you do this fall (think: simmering your story, spicing up your gratitude, and rolling generosity into every touchpoint) will flavor your year-end results.

👉 Try this recipe for success: review your donor thank-you process this month.

A warm, personal “gracias” today helps stir up generosity tomorrow.

Coaching Spots: Guac, Goals & Good Things

As we head into the final quarter, I’m opening 3 one-on-one coaching spots for nonprofit and ministry leaders who need encouragement, perspective, and strategy to finish the year strong and prepare for 2026.

Consider this your perfect side —  guac-level goodness for your leadership to get unstuck, and move forward with confidence.

I'll take Gauc with that!

PRC Vision Canvas: Taco-Sized Support, Whole-Enchilada Impact

Sometimes an organization knows it needs the whole enchilada from consultants — vision, strategy, fundraising, donor care, and more. But budgets or staff capacity may mean you can only take it in smaller, taco-sized bites.

That’s exactly why we created the PRC Vision Canvas. It’s a framework that:

  • Aligns your vision with clarity (like perfectly folded tortillas)

  • Creates a fundraising strategy with substance (no filler, just the good stuff)

  • Provides a clear path ahead (so you don’t get lost in the buffet of “all the things”)

This fall, you can be among the first to taste it as part of the Vision Canvas Launch Team and help shape this incredible program.

Applications close next week, and sessions begin October 16.

A Word for the Weekend

Consider this your Friday fiesta, friend — a reminder that your work matters, your impact is real, and there are good things are ahead.

Friend, let's not get tired of doing good things...
